The recent article "Web-based Curriculum Improves Residents' Knowledge of Health Care Business", co-authored by Dr. Taheri, was published in the December 2010 issue of the Journal of the American College of Surgeons (JASC). The study summarized by the article describes surgery residents' experience and learning outcomes associated with the curriculum, and concluded that participation in a Web-based curriculum on health care business significantly improves surgery residents' knowledge about health care business concepts and principles.

The American Board of Surgery (ABS) has endorsed MDContent's Web-based curriculum to meet the systems-based competency for surgical residents. MDContent will partner with the ABS and the Surgical Council on Resident Education (SCORE) to include online access and program launch by September, 2009.

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) has approved MDContent as an accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) provider. The ACCME's mission is to develop and promote standards for quality CME utilized by physicians in their maintenance of competence and incorporation of new knowledge. The key goal is to improve quality medical care for patients and their communities. MDContent is proud to be a part of that effort. The rigorous accreditation process takes from twelve to eighteen months to complete.

MDContent has launched their new e-learning tool for hospitals, health systems, and resident training programs to use in achieving the Systems-Based Practice competency. The fundamental tenets of Systems-Based Practice are responsiveness to the wide context of health care and the ability to use system resources to provide care of optimal value. Focus includes understanding the interconnectedness of multiple levels of health care systems and society, controlling health care costs, maintaining quality of care, assisting patients in dealing with system complexities, and understanding risk benefit analysis.

MDContent has been chosen by the Henry Ford Medical Group and GE Health Care for their continuing business education and management training needs. MDContent's Business of Healthcare online education is a valued curriculum for both clinicians and managers in the healthcare industry. Offering the tenets of a first year MBA, it provides clients with a thorough understanding of the fundamental and professional strategies needed to navigate the health system.

The recent IOM report on the Future of Emergency Care in the United States Health System references MDContent’s 2005 report to Palm Beach County, Florida, as an outstanding analysis related to the finance, governance, and regionalization associated with emergency systems care.

MDContent has been chosen to present to the Emergency Department Chairs for the Society of Emergency Medicine (SAEM) at the San Francisco meeting in May.

MDContent participates in GE Health Care Lean Seminar - March 22, 2006 in NJ - along with other national health care leaders presents established operational improvements in the clinical delivery system.

MDContent principal Dr. Paul Taheri MD, MBA presents the MDContent web-based training modules at the Association of Program Directors in Surgery annual meeting in Tuscon AZ, March 22, 2006. This academic presentation highlights the 10+ years of content development by the MDContent principals and the new web-based application.

MDContent has recently initiated its management training for Henry Ford Medical Group (HFMG) .  MDContent has expanded is 3-year training history with the HFMG, to include a new 10-day management and leadership course offering to the emerging leaders of the medical group.
